Alaska General Seafoods (“AGS”) is a shore-based seafood processor which acquires, cans, freezes, or provides fresh seafood products to wholesale buyers from around the world. Headquartered in Kenmore, Washington, Alaska General Seafoods (AGS) operates two major processing plants in the state of Alaska. In terms of seafood volume, both plants are located in the top 20 U.S. seafood ports. One plant is located in Southeast Alaska (city of Ketchikan) and the other is in South Western Alaska (city of Naknek). The plants operate on a seasonal basis from late spring through the summertime.

At the peak of the fishing season, AGS employs more than 900 people in all of its shore-side operations. During the fishing season, AGS procures wild Alaska salmon from hundreds of independent fishermen. AGS continues to be a major sockeye salmon processor.
